HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Traffic delays are expected on Interstate 169 Sunday afternoon as emergency crews continue clearing a wreck involving a camper.
On Oct. 12 around 2:15 p.m., Hopkinsville Fire and EMS responded to a single vehicle accident involving a single vehicle that was pulling a camper near the eight-mile marker of I-169 (Pennyrile Parkway). This caused the closure of both the north and southbound lanes of the roadway.
One patient was transported by EMS for minor injuries, with another patient refusing treatment according to Payton Rodgers with HFD. As of 5:30 p.m., one lane is open for traffic, and it will likely take another hour to completely open up the roadway.
