HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The interior of a Hopkinsville home east of the I-169 was damaged in a fire Tuesday afternoon after and air conditioning unit caught fire.
Around 12:30 on Feb. 24, the Hopkinsville Fire Department was alerted to a possible structure fire along the 100 block of Rozelle Avenue. According to HFD, smoke could be seen from further downtown, and fire trucks were on the scene within three minutes.

Firefighters entered the home and found a room well-involved in a fire, with a window air conditioning unit also on fire. HPD says all occupants of the home were able to escape with no injuries after their smoke detectors alerted them.
While the fire was contained, the home suffered significant smoke damage. The cause is currently under investigation.
