HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with the Christian County Military Affairs Committee for the annual MAC Chili Cook-off & Batter Capital of the World Cornbread Challenge.
The event will take place Friday, Sept. 22, at the Founders Square in Downtown Hopkinsville.
Teams will compete for a $1,000 cash prize for the best chili and another prize will be presented by the Batter Capital of the World for best cornbread. The winners will be announced at 7 p.m. that night.
Throughout the night, crowd-goers can vote for their favorite chili with $5 sample cups, but are free to military members.
Food trucks will be on site for the start of Sounds at Six and the KY Army National Guard will have their Inflatable Obstacle Course available for crowd participation.
