HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Dec. 1 where the victim stated the suspect had entered the home and struck them repeatedly in the head with a handgun.
Later that day around 1 p.m. officers with the Hopkinsville Police Department noticed a vehicle that matched the description of the suspect’s car. A police report says after emergency lights turned on, the vehicle sped through a red light and drove down North Drive at a high rate of speed. The suspect eventually made a hard stop at Hoptown Donuts around which caused in a collision with a police car, damaging the front bumper.
Officers on the scene describe the man as combative and yelling threats. He was quoted by officers saying, “If I see y’all on the street I will take y’all out.”
The man is facing nine charges including resisting arrest, evading police, criminal mischief, failure to produce insurance, disregarding traffic light, failure to signal, reckless driving, and terroristic threatening.
