CLARKSVILLE, TN (CHRISTIANCOUNTYNOW) – The final tally is in, and for this year’s annual Beaver 100.3 Camp Rainbow Radiothon, over $91,000 was raised to send kids from across the area to Camp Rainbow. With this year’s contributions, the $1 million fundraising milestone has been met.

“We just blew $1 million in 16 years out of the water,” said Camp Director Jereme Miner. “It’s unbelievably amazing. What this Radiothon has done for Camp Rainbow is special, and we couldn’t have done this without everyone involved.”

During the two-day Radiothon, Beaver radio on-air personalities, particularly Chad and Monica, shared heartwarming stories from campers, counselors and parents about how Camp Rainbow has touched their lives.

Camp Rainbow is a summer camp held every year at Land Between the Lakes’ Brandon Springs for children who otherwise couldn’t go to a camp because of their medical condition. Each year, between 40 and 45 children between the ages of 5 and 12 years old attend, along with close to 100 volunteers.

Last year’s Radiothon raised over $70,000, and since 2009, as of this evening, the Radiothon has raised over $1 million for Camp Rainbow.
