Billie Jean Gilliland, 94, Wellington Way, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Christian Health Center, Hopkinsville, KY of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2024 at Lamb Funeral Home with Ray Gilliland officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Monday, December 2, 2024 at the funeral home.

A native of Nortonville, KY, she was born October 14, 1930, the daughter of the late William Wade and the late Mabel (Morris) Wade.

Billie was a cosmetologist and owner of Blue Haven Styling Salon for 40 years. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and a Kentucky Colonel. To her family and friends, whom she adored and loved dearly, she was simply BB.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Turk Junior Gilliland; her sons, Ricky Lee Gilliland and Michael Wayne Gilliland; her brothers, Eugene Wade and JD Wade; and her sister, Christine Wade.

Survivors include her daughter, Jackie (Tony) Jones, Hopkinsville, KY; her grandchildren, Tiffany (Bobby) Bratcher, Hailee (Jamie) Jones Paxton, Summer Jones Lindsey, and Rickie Gilliland; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: Mark Wade, Rickie Gilliland, Jimmy Wade, Mark Lindsey, Jamie Paxton, and Tanner Hayes.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Bobby Bratcher, Kaden Gilliland, Brent Gilkey, Dayton Jones, and Levi Smith.
