HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Christian County Literacy Council is hosting Bingo for Books on Feb. 19 at the Hopkinsville Brewing Company. During this fun event, people will be able to try their hand at the game to win some prizes, with a silent auction also held during the evening.
The money raised during the event will help support the literacy council, which promotes literacy, supports local families, and ensures children have access to engaging, age-appropriate books.
Funds from the event will purchase books for the Literacy Launcher book vending machine, and help fund their new Books on Wheels, which will serve the youth at various locations in the community.
Bingo for Books will be from 5-7 p.m. on Feb. 19 at 102 East Fifth Street in Hopkinsville. $20 will purchase four games, with additional bingo cards available for purchase. Food trucks will be on site. Advanced registration is available through Feb. 13, or people can register on the day.
