Updated 4:26 p.m. Investigators with the Hopkinsville Police Department have identified the deceased individual as 34-year-old Clifford Barber of Bowling Green.
The investigation is ongoing.
Updated 8:38 a.m. At approximately 6:16 a.m., officers responded to a report of a deceased individual in the Little River near Westside Park, according to a news release from Hopkinsville Police Department.
HPD says foul play in suspected, and the investigation remains ongoing. They ask the public to avoid the area while investigators process the scene. No other information has been released at this time.

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Emergency services are on the scene of a recovery off of West Ninth street in Hopkinsville Tuesday morning.
Lieutenant Nathan Stewart with Hopkinsville Fire/EMS told Christian County Now that a deceased individual was found in the area of Westside Park, and a recovery process has been initiated.
As of 7:30 a.m., a large police presence is in the area while the investigation is underway, according to news affiliate Dash 10 Media.
