OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Residents in certain areas of Oak Grove are being told to boil water for the next few days after an outage on Sept. 15.
A temporary water outage affected the Beels Subdivision and areas around Highway 911 due to scheduled maintenance. As the water service was restored, a news release from the City of Oak Grove said a Boil Water Advisory has been issued for all residents who are experiencing low water pressure in the highlighted areas below.

“This advisory is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of the water supply,” said a statement from the city. This advisory will be in effect for up to 72 hours. During this time residents should use bottled water for drinking and cooking or should first boil their tap water.
They explained that the loss in pressure does not necessarily mean the water has been contaminated, but it does mean that pathogens may be able to enter the water system. For more information about the advisory, contact the City of Oak Grove at 270-439-4646.
