HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Starting Dec. 3, the Boys & Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County will once again participate in Giving Tuesday with the help of longtime Club supporter, Sue Badgett of Baird.

The Boys & Girls Club is hosting an online campaign to raise to empower local youth to reach their full potential. The first $10,000 in donations to the campaign will be generously matched by Mrs. Badgett.

“We are immensely grateful for the long standing and incredible generosity of Sue Badgett,” BGCHCC Executive Director, Terrence Davis said. “Mrs. Badgett has been a supporter of our Boys & Girls Club since its inception in 2005. Her donation will hopefully inspire other people to support our mission. Helping kids is simple and the right thing to do.”

Every donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Hopkinsville (BGCHCC) directly impacts hundreds of local kids each year. Thanks to the generosity of people from the community, BGCHCC provides youth with programs and activities centered around Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles and Character Development. BGCHCC provides a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for every child who walks through its’ doors.

With rising costs and an ever-growing need for quality programs and wrap-around services, support is more important than ever. When someone contributes to BGCHCC, they pay it forward while helping to ensure that youth in the community have access to mentorship, leadership opportunities, and life changing experiences.

In 2024, the Boys & Girls Club served 529 local youth with its affordable, high impact after school programs focusing on providing healthy meals, tutoring, and mentoring. As a community staple for over 19 years, the Boys & Girls Club has offered local kids after school programs and opportunities to experience new things and be themselves in a place they can call their own. A peer-to-peer fundraising campaign is taking place Dec 3-Dec 8. Donations can be made by calling the Club, dropping off a donation, or donating online by visiting go.rallyup.com/bgchccworldofdifference.
