HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Aug. 6 will be an exciting day at the Boys & Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County
as the Club celebrates its 20th anniversary and dedicates its gym to the Wade Family. The Great Futures Luncheon presented by Planters Bank will be held Wednesday Aug. 6, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club located at 1600 Walnut Street.

The Great Futures Luncheon provides an opportunity for community members to celebrate the year’s successes, as well as hear from staff, volunteers and members of the Boys & Girls Club about their involvement with the club and how their lives have been impacted by the Boys & Girls Club. Seating begins at 11:00 a.m. and guests will have the option of taking a guided tour of the club by a member prior to the start of the program promptly at noon.

Earlier this year, the Boys & Girls Club partnered with local basketball legend Tommy Wade Jr. to renovate the Club’s gym. The gym’s dedication and ribbon cutting will also take place on Wednesday Aug. 6 at 4:30 p.m. at the Club.

“The Great Futures Luncheon and the Wade Family Gymnasium dedication will highlight the incredible impact that the Boys & Girls Club has on the youth that attend,” Executive Director Terrence Davis said. “We are extremely honored to celebrate our 20th anniversary with the community and honor the dedication that the Wade Family has to Hopkinsville.”

Interested attendees are asked to RSVP to Terrence Davis by August 4th at tdavisbgchcc@gmail.com.
