HOPKINSVILLE, KY – The Boys & Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County is inviting local teens to take over the Club for an evening of fun, competition and connection during its Total Teen Takeover event on Friday, Sept. 18, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The free event is open to all teens in grades 8–11 who present a current school ID. Teens do not have to be current Boys & Girls Club members to attend.

Total Teen Takeover will give young people a safe and welcoming place to spend their Friday night with friends while enjoying a variety of activities. The evening will include open gym, food, video game tournaments, prizes, games and more.

“Total Teen Takeover is about giving teens in our community a place that is truly for them,” said Terrence Davis, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County. “We want young people to have a safe place where they can have fun, meet other teens, compete, connect and see everything the Boys & Girls Club has to offer.”

The event is part of the Club’s continued effort to increase opportunities for teens throughout Hopkinsville and Christian County. By opening the Club to young people from across the community, the organization hopes to introduce more teens to positive experiences, supportive relationships and opportunities to become involved at the Club.

Total Teen Takeover will be held at the Boys & Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County, 1600 Walnut Street, Hopkinsville, KY 42240. Admission is FREE, and participants must bring a current school ID.
