OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – This Saturday and Sunday, Oak Grove is hosting their massive family friendly festival to kick off the season with Spring into Summer Salutes Fort Campbell. Admission to the event and concert is completely free, and all carnival rides are no charge.
The main event comes Saturday night as Bret Michaels, the frontman from the band Poison takes the Viceroy Stage at 7 p.m. People everywhere know some of his biggest hits like “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Go That Far” and “Nothing But a Good Time.” Aside from music, Michaels still finds time to give back through his Life Rocks Foundation which supports a myriad of charities and causes around the globe, according to a news release from Oak Grove Tourism.

Both days are expected to be packed with new and exciting activities including a ranch dog show, ninja experience show, a six-man parachute jump show, and a huge fireworks show Saturday night. Carnival rides will pack the Oak Grove Memorial Walking Trail, as crowds gather for food, music, and the popular bubble zone attraction.
On May 25, the gates open at noon, with the festival ending after the fireworks show at 9 p.m., May 26 they will be open between noon and 6 p.m. Find the full schedule of events on the Oak Grove Tourism website.
