HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – With the recent launch of the Downtown Entertainment District in Hopkinsville, patrons will be able to drink and walk around to their favorite businesses while supporting the local art scene each month during Art After Dark.

Beginning on July 24 and occurring the fourth Thursday of every month from 4 p.m. through 9 p.m., people can walk around to participating businesses and check out work from local artists that may range from physical art to live music. The Downtown Farmers Market will also be during this time, so people can swing by and support some local makers as well.

Art After Dark will take advantage of new regulations that permit patrons to walk around a designated area downtown while drinking alcoholic beverages that are supplied by participating businesses. This policy is permitted daily, even outside of events. So far participating businesses in the entertainment district include The Alhambra, Hopkinsville Brewing Company, Baked, The Mixer, The Crusty Pig, The Book and Bottle Shop, Camo Caravan, J. Schrecker Jewelry, and Bella Marie Boutique.

The dates for Art After Dark are July 24, Aug. 28, Sep. 25, and Oct. 23. Find more information and updates on the Downtown Entertainment District Facebook Page
