Fort Campbell head coach Orlando King thought the communication between his squad needed to improve. “We worked on communicating pretty much all day yesterday,” said King. “We want to know where everybody’s at, at all times. If we do that for 32 minutes, this game is closer than it ended up being.”
The Tigers were able to pull away even further in the second half, and earn a 75-24 victory. Despite the big deficit, the energy and drive from Fort Campbell and specifically their head coach, never ceased until the clock hit triple zeros.
“I’m passionate about this game and these kids man, and that’s just me,” said King. “When you’re coaching and kids don’t see your passion, you won’t see it from the kids. When I get going, they get going, and they have to do that together for the full game.”
