FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Fort Campbell Falcons hosted the Caldwell County Tigers on Wednesday night at Fort Campbell High School. Despite a 14 point performance from Falcon guard Tyreek Anthony, the Tigers defensively dominated to earn a 75-24 victory.

Caldwell County started the game off with a very physical defense that caused problems for Fort Campbell. They held them to only 7 points in the opening quarter, and led 33-14 at the half.

Fort Campbell head coach Orlando King thought the communication between his squad needed to improve. “We worked on communicating pretty much all day yesterday,” said King. “We want to know where everybody’s at, at all times. If we do that for 32 minutes, this game is closer than it ended up being.”

The Tigers were able to pull away even further in the second half, and earn a 75-24 victory. Despite the big deficit, the energy and drive from Fort Campbell and specifically their head coach, never ceased until the clock hit triple zeros.

“I’m passionate about this game and these kids man, and that’s just me,” said King. “When you’re coaching and kids don’t see your passion, you won’t see it from the kids. When I get going, they get going, and they have to do that together for the full game.”
