HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Veteran owned restaurant Camo Caravan has a new home in downtown Hopkinsville, with the owners finally ready to debut their renovations at the start of 2026. Bouncing back after a flood almost a year ago, this beloved local spot’s new address greatly expands their footprint and their menu, offering the community homemade burgers, drinks and more in the heart of the city.

Eric Hardin and Jason Coy were forced to leave their original location during the devasting flood in April of 2025, which damaged over 150 businesses and homes in the city. North Drive fell victim to extremely high water, which impacted not only their restaurant, but the Pet Lodge next door, where 40 animals were rescued from floodwaters.

When the flood receded and they were able to evaluate, they had to quickly pivot to find a way to keep their businesses going. This search eventually landed them at the Bourbon Society on South Main Street thanks to a past connection with the owner of the building. With extensive renovations anticipated on the massive space, they pivoted once again and spent the summer grilling burgers on their new patio while work on the kitchen and interior commenced.

“It was really good to see the community keep coming back and loving us. If we wouldn’t have had that community support and following, I don’t think we would be here right now,” Hardin told Christian County Now. Over the past nine months they hosted pop ups, events and theme nights along with collaborating with surrounding businesses and helping to engage the community with the Downtown Entertainment District, all while slowly renovating the building into their ideal space.

Renovations at new location, scratch made menu

Camo Caravan’s new location is made up of multiple dining spaces, a bar, a kid’s space and an outdoor patio. Their brand-new kitchen is over the double the size of their previous location. They are gearing up to their soft opening on New Years Eve at 6 p.m. where the community is invited to come and celebrate. A grand opening will be planned for later in January or February. In between, they will be fine tuning their menu and service as they ease back into operations.

“It took us a long time to do all of this stuff, but at the same time I think it’s going to be something really good that the community is going to love,” Hardin told Christian County Now.

The same nostalgic charm that patrons know and love fills the new space with fun decor and a cozy atmosphere. Arcade games like a punching machine will soon be set up in the main bar area, with putt-putt golf and other toys set up for kids to hang out.

Their now have a brand-new bar menu and appetizer selection, along with familiar signature items that people always loved and their lineup of homemade sauces. Menu items include a Metallica patty melt with a Cadillac cheese blend and pookie sauce, their signature Caravan Burger with their caravan burger sauce, and a My Boy Blue with blue cheese, hot honey bacon, and apple butter barbecue sauce.
