Carol Fuller Atwood Carter, 82, of Kuttawa, Kentucky died at 12:37 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Atkins and Jed Ramey officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late George E. Fuller and Modelle Robertson Fuller.

She was a bank teller and secretary at Hopkinsville Federal Savings Bank for twenty years. She also worked for Pennyrile Electric, Phelps Dodge, was an agent with Combined Insurance Company and ran the Dairy Kreme in Gracey, Kentucky with her husband from 2002 until 2012. She was a former member of St. John Methodist Church in Hopkinsville and was currently a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband: Bruce Carter of Kuttawa, KY; her son, Tommy (Robin) Atwood of Murfreesboro, TN; her daughter, Penny Atwood (Jackie) Jones of Hopkinsville, KY; her step-daughter, Nicole Carter of Louisville, KY; her sisters, Dot McCargo and Cynthia (Mike) Atkins both of Hopkinsville, KY and a grandchild, Lawson Atwood.
