HOPKINSVILLE, KY – On Dec. 8, Christian County High School Executive Principal Ken Carver announced three new fall sports head coaches for the new Christian County High School. Roger Volk will lead Cross Country, Zach Hardison will serve as Volleyball Coach, and Will Bryan has been named Boys Soccer Coach. The district is continuing preparations for the opening of the new CCHS.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Roger, Zach, and Will to our new CCHS family,” said Executive Principal Ken Carver. “Each brings dedication, expertise, and a passion for developing student-athletes, and I’m confident they’ll set a strong foundation for our inaugural fall sports programs.”
Christian County Public Schools held a press conference on Monday morning to welcome Volk, Hardison, and Bryan.
Roger Volk – Cross Country Coach

Zach Hardison – Volleyball Coach
Zach Hardison brings 12 years of head coaching experience to Christian County High School and has also played with a men’s AAU competitive team based in Owensboro. His passion for volleyball began at a young age, playing alongside his father, who is also a head coach. Hardison has served as an assistant coach at Apollo High School, Henderson County High School, and Daviess County High School. His head coaching experience includes 12 years in AAU programs and high school stops at Hancock County, McLean County, and the last three years at Ohio County High School, where he won two district titles and was named Third Region Coach of the Year in 2024.
“Being named the head coach at Christian County is incredibly special to me, as it reflects the trust placed in me to develop young women into outstanding student-athletes and individuals,” said Coach Zach Hardison. “I want to thank Superintendent Bentzel, Principal Carver, Operations Principal King, District AD Stovall, and AD Ezell for this opportunity to lead a new era for the Christian County Volleyball program. I fully believe we can compete at the highest level year after year. Go Tigers!”
Will Bryan – Boys Soccer Coach
Bryan is a Hopkinsville native and a fall 2025 graduate of Lipscomb University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Finance. He began his collegiate career at Maryville College, where he earned Rookie of the Year, First Team All-Conference, All-Region, and Academic All-American honors, finishing his freshman season with 13 goals and 6 assists. Bryan later continued his playing career at Lipscomb University, logging more than 2,000 Division I minutes and contributing 5 goals and 5 assists. He was part of a nationally ranked Top-25 program, competed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, won a conference championship, and was named to both the All-Conference and All-Region Academic Teams.
“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve as Head Boy’s Soccer Coach for the new Christian County Tigers,” said Coach Bryan. “My passion is to use soccer as a tool to help boys grow into strong, responsible young men. I believe that true success as a coach extends far beyond wins and losses – though we will always strive to compete, prepare well, and pursue winning with excellence. The deeper measure of success lies in the values, discipline, and character that players carry with them into life. My coaching philosophy is simple: develop the person as I develop the player. I want to see soccer continue to grow in the Hopkinsville area and become something the younger generation and the entire community can take pride in. I am eager to get to work, but even more importantly, I am grateful for the opportunity to use the gifts God has given me to invest in the next generation and help them pursue their goals both on and off the field.”
