HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – With the start of the school year just around the corner on Aug. 18, parents and guardians of students need to ensure everything is in order for class time. Ahead of the big day, CCPS has shared insight on important dates, deadlines, and information to keep in mind before the end of the summer.
Johnna Brown with CCPS shared that this is the time to update student’s online registration. Parents can complete the OLR by logging into their Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. The process is quick and simple for returning students. It is recommended to complete the OLR on a computer or laptop to avoid technical difficulties.
“Completing the OLR before your school’s Open House can help streamline your visit—saving time, avoiding lines, and allowing you to go straight to meeting your child’s teacher or picking up class schedules for middle and high school students,” Brown told Christian County Now.

Proof of Residency must be provided to the school prior to Open House. It can be emailed or dropped off at the school. The elementary open houses are Aug. 12 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Middle and high school open houses are Aug. 14 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
It is suggested that families sign up for the ParentSquare, an all-in-one communication platform for the Christian County school district. This app is in compliance with the newly passed Senate Bill 181, which prohibits direct electronic communication between students and teachers/staff members outside of the app.
Schools can also post important information and announcements, and parents receive instant notifications via email, text, or through the app. Using the app also unlocks additional features, including language translation for families who need it.
