Hopkinsville head coach Keith Leslie said his squad needs to play more as a team in order to avoid falling into a deficit.
“We have to play more defense, and as a unit,” said Leslie. “We didn’t have a lot go our way tonight, and on nights like that, we have to play harder and give a better effort.”

The Colonels put the nail in the coffin going on a 20-7 run in the third quarter.
Christian County head coach Kiki Radford said her team’s defense was what led to the win against their cross-town rival.
“We just had to buckle down on the defensive end,” said Radford. “When we play defense like we’re capable of playing, we’re a really good team. We limited second-chance opportunities, and that was a difference-maker tonight.”
