HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Christian County Athletics has officially hired Ethan Atchley as their next head football coach on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

Atchley has nine years of head coaching experience and an additional three years’ experience as a defensive coordinator, according to a CCHS news release. He graduated in 2011 from the University of Kentucky and received his master’s from the University of the Cumberlands.

Following his college education, Atchley served as defensive coordinator at Lafayette High School and Lexington Christian Academy before being promoted to head coach with Lexington Christian.

As a head coach with the Eagles, he compiled a record of 46-18 (.719), which included four consecutive regional final appearances. He also received 2016 KHSAA 2A Coach of the Year honors.

His coaching career is marked by impressive rebuilding efforts and successes, and we look forward to seeing Coach Atchley leading our students.”
