HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Christian County Public Schools is proud to announce that two Christian County High School seniors have been recognized by the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program for their outstanding academic achievement.
Samuel Norwine has been named a National Merit Semifinalist, placing him among the top high school seniors in the nation. He now moves to the finalist round for an opportunity to continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, which will be awarded in 2026. In addition, Lacey Paige has received a Letter of Commendation for her exceptional academic performance.
“We are incredibly proud of Samuel and Lacey for their hard work and commitment to academic excellence,” said Superintendent Chris Bentzel. “Their achievements in the National Merit Scholarship Program are a reflection of their hard work and character, and we look forward to seeing all they will accomplish beyond Christian County High School.”
The National Merit Scholarship Program, established in 1955, is one of the most highly regarded academic competitions in the United States. Each year, approximately 1.5 million students enter the program, with only 16,000 students nationwide earning the distinction of Semifinalist.
Christian County Public Schools congratulates Samuel and Lacey on this remarkable achievement and wishes them continued success in their future endeavors.
