CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Christian County High football hosted the Hopkinsville Tigers to set the stage for rivalry week, and the Colonels came away with a narrow 22-20 victory on Friday, Sept. 1.

With the victory, Christian County ended a four-game losing streak against Hopkinsville and earned their first win against their rival since the 2018-19 season. According to Max Preps, the Colonels moved to 1-1 after their victory on Friday and will look to win two straight games when they travel to take on the South Gibson Hornets (1-1) on Friday, Sept. 8.

As for the Tigers, they lost back-to-back games to open the season and will have another early season test when they host the Clarksville High Wildcats (3-0) next week.
