Gilliam’s candidacy announcement

Judge Executive Jerry Gilliam released the following news release to media regarding his reelection.

Over the past seven years, I’ve had the honor of a lifetime serving the people of Christian County—three of those years as your Judge Executive. The rewards from our shared accomplishments have been humbling, and we continue to make progress on the strategic plan we enacted in 2023.

It would be a privilege to continue that progress, and I humbly ask for your support in my re-election as Christian County Judge Executive.

Together, our Fiscal Court and our engaged community partners remain committed to strengthening relationships with Fort Campbell, expanding housing opportunities, attracting new economic development, planning for future growth, and improving the efficiency of county government. We are dedicated to including every part of Christian County—our five cities and our rural communities—in these important conversations.

Over the past three years, we’ve increased communication and collaboration across the county, shared ideas, partnered with regional leaders, and reduced the tax rate three times. These achievements were made possible by our open-door policy and our constant pursuit of excellence. We strive to be proactive—addressing growth, maintaining our facilities, and ensuring that Christian County remains a safe and vibrant place to live, work, and play.

I thank God every day for the opportunity to serve, and I pray that we continue to lead with a servant’s heart. I humbly ask for your support to continue what we’ve started and to keep Christian County moving in the right direction.
