HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On Saturday, a Christian County man forcefully entered into a hunting cabin, stealing over $5,000 worth of equipment and causing significant damage to the property, according to a news release from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.
The CCSO investigation revealed that the burglar forced entry into the cabin removing multiple items. The burglar removed copper pipes and wiring, kitchen appliances, bedding, tools, freezers and a dryer. Damages were made to the utility room door with significant damage to the barn on the property, including removal of slats and siding.
The total value of stolen items is approximately $5,000, not including the damage to the property. Trail camera footage helped lead to the identification of the burglar.
The suspect was arrested and charged with second degree burglary, first degree criminal mischief, and theft by unlawful taking or disposition.
