HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Christian County Public Schools Education Foundation awarded recipients of the Bright Ideas Grant to help CCPS employees bring their innovative class projects to life.

Employees of CCPS could apply for grants of up to $500, according to Angie Major with the Christian County Public Schools Education Foundation. Each CCPS facility was be awarded one grant determined by a panel of independent judges, made up of former and current educators and administrators.

The Christian County Public Schools Education Foundation received a total of 27 applications with 13 out of 17 CCPS sites applying. They applied the four remaining reward lots to other locations to have a total of 17 winners totaling to $8,500.

Each grant recipient will use the funds for a variety of projects including purchasing 3-D printers, field trips, and projects.
