HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Christian County until 11 p.m. This is in addition to a Wind Advisory that is in place until 8 p.m.
Scattered large hail is possible, along with wind gusts up to 70 mph and tornadoes. The current forecast for the area is only showing a 40% chance of thunderstorms.
The Tornado Watch was issued for the entire region, including parts of Illinois, Indiana, and other areas of Kentucky. Following the storms, temperatures will be much colder. The high for Thursday is only 49 degrees, with a 30% chance of rain.
