Clarice Johnson Carpenter, age 90, of Pembroke KY, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, at Telford Terrace in Richmond, KY of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until 1:00PM on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Carpenter was born in Christian County, KY, on February 27, 1934, the daughter of the late Ellis W. and Martha Susan Baker Johnson. Clarice was retired from Jennie Stuart Medical Center. She was a founding member of Lakeview Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Gerald Carpenter in 2011; her brothers, John Frank, William “Bill” and Lloyd Johnson; her sisters, Alberta Jones and Opal Meacham; and a great grandson.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan Holman of Franklin, TN, Kathy Chandler of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Janet Brockwell (Randy) of Richmond, KY; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
