OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Kentucky State Police has launched an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred in Oak Grove Sunday afternoon.
The accident occurred Oct. 12 around 3 p.m., involving two vehicles at the intersection of KY-117 and US-41 in Oak Grove, according to KSP. The initial investigation revealed that a 53-year-old Hopkinsville man was operating a pickup truck when he disregarded a traffic control device, then striking the vehicle of a 26-year-old woman.
The passenger of the vehicle that was struck, 55-year-old Tony Kilsby of Clarksville, Tennessee, was airlifted to Tennova and later died from his injuries.
All other parties received medical attention but did not suffer any serious physical injuries. At this time, no criminal charges have been filed, but the investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
