HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to come through Hopkinsville and Christian County, following a couple of weeks of hot, drought-like conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, rain and storms are expected Wednesday morning and evening. Some storms are expected to possibly be severe, with gusty winds and hail possible. Heavy rain may also cause some localized flooding. Hopkinsville is at a marginal risk for severe weather.

As the cold front comes through, overnight temperatures will begin to drop to the 50s starting Thursday, with a low of 65 degrees on Wednesday. The National Weather Service is predicting that dry weather and warmer temperatures will return Friday.
