HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Hopkinsville man died after an overnight accident involving a parked semi-truck, with people in the community sharing his positive community impact.

Hopkinsville Fire/EMS was dispatched the area of Old Major Lane and Cadiz Road early on Sept. 28 around 12:45 a.m. in response to the accident. According to Payton Rogers with EMS, there was a semi-truck parked in a nearby lot when it was struck by a man riding a motorcycle.

When EMS arrived, he was unconscious and was declared deceased on the scene after life saving measures were attempted. The victim was identified by the Christian County Corner as Brandon Oldham from Hopkinsville.

United Southern Bank in Hopkinsville, where he was employed, released the following statement this morning, “It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our friend and colleague, Brandon Oldham, who tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident this morning. Brandon faithfully served as the Branch Manager and Loan Officer at our Canton Pike branch and was a vital part of our United Southern Bank family. We will miss him greatly! Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.”

Other individuals and organizations shared their grief on social media, with the nonprofit Men 2 Be sharing the following, “We mourn the loss of a man who exemplified greatness, he stood on his values, lifted others, and inspired many. We continue to hold his family and friends as a whole in our prayers. Men 2 Be salutes you, Brandon Oldham.”
