HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – An NFL star has donated 30 turkeys to the Hopkinsville community for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
Cory Trice Jr. is a cornerback for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL and a Hopkinsville native. He went to Christian County High School and played college at Purdue University in Indiana before being drafted.

“Cory is my youngest son,” said his mom Tomica Mason. “He is passionate about giving back.” Together, they have partnered with Tomica’s church to fill boxes with Thanksgiving needs. Cory helped by donating 30 turkeys for 30 families in the surrounding area.
“I hope this turkey will bring some joy and happiness to you and your loved ones,” writes Cory in a Facebook post.
In a another Facebook post Tomica Mason writes, “Blessings are being a blessing to others.” With her son currently recovering from an ACL injury, Tomika is proud of everything Cory has done. “God has given him the strength to still think about others,” said Mason.
