Derrick “Sleepy” Johnson, 47, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 3:20 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Hopkinsville.
Memorial services will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Brother Buddy Weatherford officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Christian County, KY he was born December 5, 1976. He worked as a truck driver for Double C Trucking and Livingston Livestock, LLC. He attended West Union Baptist Church.
Survivors include his father: Bobby Johnson of Hopkinsville, KY; his mother: Sue (Andy) Livingston of Hopkinsville, KY; his brothers: Wes (Brittney) Livingston and Anthony (Lela) Livingston of Hopkinsville, KY; his sisters: Angie Livingston and Rebecca Livingston of Clarksville, TN; and his dog: Sassy.
