HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – To wrap up a busy summer season, Bluegrass Splash Family Aquatic Center in Hopkinsville will host their annual Doggie Dip on Saturday, Sept 6.
This fun event gives dogs a chance to take a dip in the Splash Zone or the Ripple River before they completely shut their doors until next summer.
Cost is $5 a dog, with small dogs under 25 pounds invited to swim from 10 a.m. to noon, and large dogs from noon to 2 p.m. Only pups will be permitted to swim during this time.
As of Labor Day weekend, Bluegrass Splash is closed to the public. The Hopkinsville City Council previously shared that at the height of the summer, they received approximately 500 visitors per day and did not exceed operational costs that were budgeted by the city.
