HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Baby and children’s resale boutique, White Flowers, has announced that they are moving from their downtown location to the Bradford Square Mall area early next year.

Owner Megan Thompson told Christian County Now that they have been at their East Sixth Street location since August 2022. The store was established to create a revenue stream for the Alpha Pregnancy Center in Hopkinsville, while also creating jobs and supporting local parents through the sale of affordable baby and kid’s items.

Currently located on the corner near The Alhambra Theater and the courthouse, their new location will be a stark change in scenery at a newly developed building next door to The Showbox movie theater on Fort Campbell Boulevard. The sudden move comes after Thompson learned that the building would be going under new ownership.

“We really loved that location,” she said. “I love being part of the downtown community…there was just not a suitable building.” Before it was demolished, they even considered taking on the Blue Streak Printers building on East Ninth Street but quickly had to pivot and find enough square footage somewhere else.

Expanding at new location, baby gift destination

According to Thompson, they are currently the only children’s resale store in Hopkinsville that provides cash and store credit on the spot. This has given them the ability to sell and receive a variety of gently used items while also supporting families that are in need of instant income or essential items.

Although she will miss their downtown shop, she feels that the move to Fort Campbell Boulevard will make the store more accessible for military families while putting them more centrally located with other shopping hot spots. With the additional square footage at the new location, she hopes to continue building up their brand as a baby gift destination for the city.

“When I opened White Flowers, I always wanted to have a ‘new’ section of boutique clothing that is also affordable,” she said. “When we go to the new location, we will have space for books, Christian themed gifts and more new items.”

She shared that she is looking forward to building connections with surrounding local businesses nearby and is grateful for the relationships they formed while downtown. They will remain downtown through the rest of the year and are tentatively planning on having their grand re-opening on Jan. 10, 2026.
