HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – With an opening date set for April 17, the Downtown Farmers Market is expanding their hours this season.
While the market typically opens every Thursday evening from 4- 7 p.m., they will now have an additional market day every second Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to noon. Local vendors will be selling products like locally grown fruits, veggies, home-canned goods, home-baked goods, honey and honey-related products, plants, and proteins along with other handmade goods.
“We cannot wait to introduce you all to the many vendors we will have this year at the market over the next few weeks,” said a statement from the Downtown Farmers Market.
Several themed markets can be expected throughout the season, with different activities and food trucks being offered in the past to accompany the market through October. The Downtown Farmers Market accepts Debit, Credit, and EBT cards, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Vouchers, and WIC.
