HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting their annual downtown trick-or-treat event on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

The event will be from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on South Main St. from Sixth Street to 13th Street. Children must be accompanied by an adult and ages up to 12 are invited. Participants are encouraged to come in costume and bring their own candy bag.

The parks and recreation department is also asking for organizations to set up booths to pass out candy and act as “treaters.” Booths will be giving away candy, give-a-ways, and information to the participants of the event, explains event coordinator Rachel Sanders.

“Many of the downtown retail stores and restaurants also open their doors and pass out goodies during this time,” Sanders said.

If you are interested in reserving a space for your organization or for more information please contact the program coordinator Pam Rudd at prudd@hopkinsvilleky.us or 270-887-4290.
