HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Electric System is planning a power outage this week that will affect dozens of residents in the city.

On Wednesday, March 26 crews will work to replace outdated poles and hardware along areas of North and South McPherson Street. During this time, a power outage can be expected for people along the road from 8 a.m. through noon.

“We will be deploying multiple crews to perform the work as quickly as possible and restore power as soon as we can,” said a statement from HES. “We apologize for the inconvenience.”

Drivers and pedestrians should use caution around HES vehicles during the duration of the repairs.
