HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Hopkinsville man is facing multiple charges after driving into a Little Caeser’s drive thru window on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

According to a police report from the Hopkinsville Police Department, units arrived at 2916 Fort Campbell Blvd. around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday after a vehicle hit the drive thru window. When officers arrived, the vehicle was still running and there was a man asleep at the wheel. After officers attempted to enter the vehicle, the man woke up and attempted to drive off which lodged him further into the building, according to officers.

Royale Marfil with HPD says that there is minor damage to the windowsill of the drive thru, and the metal box below it was also damaged.

After reversing the vehicle, the man put his window down and officers were able to reach in and shift the vehicle to park. Officers report that they smelled alcohol as the man was removed from the vehicle. He was also holding a marijuana blunt in his left hand.

The report says that “spice” was also found in the man’s pockets. Officers obtained a search warrant for a blood draw to test blood alcohol levels. The man was sent to Christian County Jail and charged with possession of synthetic drugs, operating under a suspended license, failure to produce insurance, and operating a vehicle under the influence of a substance.
