OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A citywide cleanup in Oak Grove aims to beautify the area with community involvement.

People in Oak Grove that wish to participate are encouraged to dispose of any trash in community dumpsters that will be set up on Oct. 21-22 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a large dumpster at Wades Way Park, and two dumpsters at 9155 Pembroke Oak Grove Road at the old USA Video location.

“We believe this will help aid in keeping our city sanitary, beautiful, and safe for everyone,” says Oak Grove City Clerk Lorelynn Fisher. The annual cleanup is something the city has promoted in the past and will continue in the future.

While they hope people will take advantage of the free, large trash receptacles, there is a reminder to not dispose of liquids, paint, chemicals, furniture or appliances. People with questions can call City Hall at 270-439-4646.
