HOPKINSVILLE, KY – After an extensive search and interview process, Christian County Public Schools Superintendent Chris Bentzel announced Friday the selection of Ken Carver as the Executive Principal of the new Christian County High School beginning July 1, 2025. Carver will serve as the lead administrator of the newly consolidated high school, bringing together students and staff from across the district.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Carver into this new role,” said Superintendent Bentzel. “His experience, vision, and commitment to student achievement makes him the right leader to establish a positive culture and high expectations at the new Christian County High School. As we bring students and staff together from across the district, his leadership will be key in building a unified school community focused on excellence, opportunity, and success for every student. We look forward to the energy and direction he will bring as we begin this new chapter for our high school families.”

Bentzel added that the selection committee, made up of district and community leaders, carefully considered a strong pool of applicants before choosing Carver for the position. He noted that Carver’s proven leadership, dedication to student success, and experience in building school communities made him the clear choice to lead the new Christian County High School. Most recently, Carver has served as the principal at Muhlenberg County High School.
“I am humbled and honored to have the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and community as the first executive principal of Christian County High School – Home of the Tigers,” said CCHS Executive Principal Ken Carver. “With the storied history of excellence in both Hopkinsville and Christian County high schools, I am excited to embrace some of their traditions while using them as a foundation to build new traditions to unite and better the community we serve. I am so excited to meet and develop relationships with the gifted students, hard-working staff, and committed community members. Go Tigers!”
