Hops and Harvest Lantern Festival
- Where: Burdoc Farms Weddings & Events, Crofton
- When: Saturday, Sept. 5, 3-8 p.m.
- Cost: $21.20 per carload
- Details: The inaugural Hops and Harvest Lantern Festival will feature craft beer from breweries across Kentucky, local food trucks, live music and light displays. Each vehicle admission includes one lantern for a community lantern launch, with additional lanterns available for purchase.

- Cost: Free admission
- Details: A free Chris Janson concert and carnival in downtown Hopkinsville with rides, vendors and fun by Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation to wrap up summer.
- Where: Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, Hopkinsville
- When: Saturday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m.
- Cost: Free
- Details: The library will host a beginner-friendly boccia tournament for ages 16 and older. Boccia is a seated sport focused on strategy and accuracy and is accessible for participants who use wheelchairs or walkers. Registration is required in advance.

- Where: Christian Way Farm & Mini Golf, Hopkinsville
- When: Saturday, Sept. 12, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Cost: Regular admission price
- Details: Christian Way Farm will kick off its fall season with pumpkin picking, hayrides, a corn maze, hay castle and opportunities to interact with farm animals. Visitors can also enjoy mini golf, the country store and food from the Christian Way Cafe.
39th Annual Trail of Tears Pow Wow
- Where: Trail of Tears Park, Hopkinsville
- When: Saturday, Sept. 12, through Sunday, Sept. 13
- Cost: $5-$10
- Details: The annual Pow Wow will feature traditional Native American dancing, Intertribal dances, flute playing and storytelling. Gates open at 10 a.m. each day, with the first two hours designated as sensory-friendly. Food from Native and local vendors, including fry bread, Indian tacos and buffalo burgers, will also be available.
Battle of the Badges Kickball Tourney
- Where: DeBow Park, Hopkinsville
- When: Saturday, Sept. 12, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Cost: Free
- Details: The Hopkinsville Police Department, Hopkinsville Fire/EMS and Christian County Sheriff’s Office will face off in a triple-header kickball tournament. Children ages 8-17 can register to help fill out the first responder teams’ rosters.
- Where: The Silo, Hopkinsville
- When: Sunday, Sept. 13, noon-4 p.m.
- Cost: $3 per person; children 12 and under are free
- Details: The Hoptown Makers’ Market will bring together local artisans, bakers and food trucks for an afternoon of shopping, food and community activities.
- Where: Alhambra Theatre, Hopkinsville
- When: Four performances between Sept. 17-20
- Cost: $17-$28
- Details: Campanile Productions will present the acclaimed musical Come From Away, based on the true story of the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, which welcomed thousands of airline passengers stranded after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. A “Pay What You Can” public dress rehearsal will also be held Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Annual Fall Truck and Tractor Pull
- Where: Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds, Hopkinsville
- When: Friday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 p.m.
- Details: The Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds will host its annual fall pull featuring farm and altered farm tractors, as well as truck pulling competitions.
- Where: Hopkinsville Brewing Company, Hopkinsville
- When: Saturday, Sept. 19, noon-9 p.m.
- Cost: Free to attend
- Details: Hopkinsville Brewing Company will celebrate its 10th annual Hoptoberfest with the release of this year’s Hoptoberfest beer, a beard contest, stein-holding competition and adult spelling bee. Food will be available from Jus’ Burgers. The stein-holding competition will include categories for adult men, adult women and participants ages 17 and under.
- Where: Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds, Hopkinsville
- When: Saturday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m.; gates open at 4 p.m.
- Details: The annual Demolition Derby will feature cars crashing and competing at the Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds. Grandstand admission is $10, pit admission is $15 and parking for nonparticipating vehicles in the pit area is $20. Tickets will be sold at the gates.
39th Annual Pennyrile Senior Games
- When: Sept. 21-23
- Where: Hopkinsville Sportsplex
- Details: It’s chance to stay active, have fun, and make new friends. Choose from a variety of events, enjoy great food, health screenings, door prizes, and more.
- When: Monday, Sept. 28, 5-8 p.m.
- Where: Greenway Amphitheatre, Hopkinsville
- Cost: Free
- Details: The Pennyroyal Arts Council and Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library will host an evening of Shakespeare, food trucks and family activities featuring Kentucky Shakespeare’s performance of Much Ado About Nothing.

8th Annual Hoptown Half Marathon Half Marathon & 5K
- When: Oct. 17, 8 a.m.
- Where: Downtown Hopkinsville
- Details: The Half Marathon course winds through downtown Hopkinsville, residential areas, through beautiful Christian County countryside, and returns to finish downtown on the Hopkinsville Greenway/Rail Trail. The Half Marathon course also includes the unique quarter-mile Rail Trail bridge, the longest non-water bridge span in Kentucky.

- Details: The Human Rights Commission Hopkinsville-Christian County will host its 52nd annual Unity Breakfast with the theme “Rooted in Compassion…Moving Forward with Hope.” Dr. Ron Patterson, president of Murray State University, will serve as keynote speaker. Individual tickets, tables and sponsorships are available.

Participants can take a selfie at their favorite participating business, post it on Facebook or Instagram and tag the Hopkinsville Downtown Renaissance District, Christian County Chamber of Commerce and Hopkinsville Small Business Commission for a chance to win gift cards from local businesses.
HopTown Nights/MAC Chili Cookoff
- When: Oct. 24, 5 p.m.
- Where: Downtown Hopkinsville
- Details: Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation brings together local downtown businesses for a night of live music and vendors alongside the annual chili cookoff downtown with the Southwestern Kentucky Military Affairs Committee.
Downtown Trick-or-Treat
- When: Oct. 30, 3:30 p.m.
- Where: Downtown Hopkinsville
- Details: Families are able to trick or treat in a safe environment in downtown Hopkinsville, stopping and vendors and businesses to get candy and other treats.

Veterans Honor Parade
- When: Nov. 7, 10 a.m.
- Where: Downtown Hopkinsville
- Detail: This annual parade will celebrate local veterans with marching bands, JROTC, and a community ceremony.
