HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – CASA of Christian County is hosting a Superhero Run on April 20 at the Hopkinsville Greenway Rail Trail. CASA is a non-profit organization comprised of Court Appointed Special Advocates who work with kids in the court system that have been abused or neglected.

According to CASA spokesperson Donna Johnson, runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to participate in the fun run, and are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero or character. The race is not timed, but participants can expect various awards and prizes.

In addition to the run, there will be vendors, food trucks, and a bounce house in front of the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library. Johnson said that their goal is to raise $10,000. The money will fund training for new volunteers and allow them funding for necessary materials.

Adults can register for the race on the CASA website for $25, and kids ages three to 12 are $10. For more information call CASA at 270-962-7088, or email christiancocasa@gmail.com or bailey@cckycasa.org.
