HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Christian County Public Schools athletics is entering the postseason for winter sports to dive into spring competitions. District basketball games will be held at Tiger Gym this week, tickets are $10 cash at the door.

“Your energy and passion are a defining part of CCPS athletics, and we ask that they reflect encouragement, support, and sportsmanship—not criticism or negativity,” said a news release from CCPS. “The way you conduct yourself impacts not only our teams but also coaches, officials, and visiting fans. Let’s ensure that impact is a positive one.”

During this transition, they are taking the time to remind fans of rules and protocols. They encourage attendees to keep the following guidelines in mind at all CCPS athletic events.

  • Only event personnel, officials, coaches, and participating players are allowed on the floor. Please remain in the stands until the game has officially concluded.
  • Show respect for all teams, players, coaches, and their fans.
  • Bring the energy, fill their venues with excitement, pride, and sportsmanship.

During games, everyone in attendance will pass through a weapons detection system before entering the facility. Aside from medical and diaper bags, no bags will be permitted on the premises. Children younger than high school age must be accompanied by an adult who will remain with them during the event.

According to the CCPS, misconduct toward officials, coaches, players, or opposing fans will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event or suspension from future CCPS games.
