HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A woman was arrested in Christian County the afternoon of Oct. 11 after she was found driving while intoxicated with fentanyl in her vehicle.

Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle near the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Russellville Road after a call to emergency dispatch said the car was seen driving “all over the road” before pulling ultimately over. The caller reported that there was possibly a woman passed out inside.

When approached, the 33-year-old female suspect from Scotts Hill, Tennessee told deputies she pulled over because she is pregnant, advising that she was taking suboxone. A search of the vehicle yielded various drug paraphernalia for meth and fentanyl use. Around .45 grams of fentanyl was also located, which she admitted to using earlier in the day.

The suspect had an active warrant for failure to appear, and was additionally charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, various drug charges and traffic violations, and trafficking in a controlled substance for fentanyl.
