PEMBROKE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A fire in Pembroke Friday afternoon has left a home severely damaged, with the homeowner looking to the community for assistance.

On Nov. 28, the Pembroke Fire Department responded to a call regarding a structure fire on South Main Street. Assisted by the Fairview, Herndon, Oak Grove, and Trenton Fire Departments, they were able to extinguish the fire and confine it to the rear of the home. No injuries were reported by the resident or emergency crews.

“Regrettably, the homeowner does not have insurance coverage and has experienced a loss of clothing and food,” said a statement from Pembroke FD. “The community’s support in assisting the homeowner is appreciated.”

They shared that donations to assist the homeowner can be dropped off at Pembroke Baptist Church on Nov. 29 from 11 a.m. through 1 p.m. He is seeking extra-large sized shirts, pants sized 32X32, and non-perishable food items.
