HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Hometown Heroes storytime is happening this weekend at the Hopkinsville Christian County Public Library.
The Hopkinsville Fire Department will be making an appearance on Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. to show off their fire truck to kids and read. The library describes it as a special storytime aimed at toddlers and preschool aged children. Peyton Rogers with the HFD says the department is always excited to partner with city and county agencies, and she will be giving attendees tours of the fire truck at the library.
The Imagination Library is working with the library to make this, and future Hometown Hero events possible. Tiffany Luna with the Hopkinsville Library says the goal of this program is to begin introducing kids to the local organizations and people that help make it great. A Hometown Heros event will occur on the second Saturday of each month through December.
