HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The PWR Construction building on West Fifteenth Street caught fire early Wednesday morning. Hopkinsville Fire Department arrived on the scene at 2:00 a.m. and worked to put out the flames for nearly three hours.
Due to structural concerns, firefighters battled the flames from outside the building, according to Payton Rogers with HFD. He estimates that around 100,000 gallons of water were used to fully extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported, and it seems the building was unoccupied and was used for storage. The building sustained significant fire damage and will not be safe for occupants. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
