HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Families with students at Christian County Public Schools will be able to grab food bundles on Friday, as campuses remain closed through the end of the week. CCPS says the extended cold temperatures have not allowed snow covered roads and campuses to adequately clear.
Inspire Early Learning Center will also remain closed through Jan. 30, with all games, events, and extracurricular activities also canceled. These days will be Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days #5 and #6. If families are able, students should complete NTI work for these days.
Grab-N-Go food bundles for students (PreK–12) will be available for pick-up on Jan. 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Christian County Middle School, 215 Glass Avenue in Hopkinsville. Bundles will include food items for breakfast and lunch.
A news release from CCPS says parents and guardians should enter the campus on the PAC side of the school and drive around the back by the bus drop off area for pick up. They will be required to sign for each student they are picking up food for. Students do not need to be present to receive food bundles.
The school system will relay any updates through ParentSquare, official CCPS social media channels, and local media. Families with questions may reach out through ParentSquare, Google Classroom, or email.
