FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Fort Campbell man was arrested on a capital murder charge in Christian County on Thursday, Aug. 3.
Detectives with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Crime Unit were assisted by the U.S. Marshal’s Service and agents with the U.S Army Criminal Investigations Division in locating and arresting Marquese Duncan, 22, who was charged in the July 2 shooting of 19-year-old Jason Anthony Swain Jr. in Alabama, according to CCSO.
A spokesman for the 101st Airborne Division confirmed that he is active duty and his rank is private first class. He has been in the Army since the spring of 2022.
Duncan was lodged at the Christian County Jail as a fugitive from another state until he was transferred back to Talladega County, Alabama to face charges.
